Opening Bell: Sensex-Nifty trading begins, Bajaj Finserv rises, VIP Industries falls

Sensex-Nifty trading begins

BSE Sensex opened with 447 points gain at 74098 points, while Nifty opened with 157 points gain at 22483 points.

Market Open: The stock market has started slowly on Monday, the first working day of the new financial year. BSE Sensex opened at 74098 points with 447 points gain, while Nifty opened at 22483 points with 157 points gain. Almost all of the indices, including Nifty Bank, Nifty IT, BSE Small Cap, and Nifty Midcap 100, were rising in the early hours of the stock market.

Nifty Financial Services Index, Nifty Pharma Index, BSE Small Cap and Nifty Mid Cap all rose by more than one percent. In the beginning of the stock market, the shares of Bajaj Finserv, Grasim Industries, Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Finance were among the bullish stocks. On the other hand, VIP Industries, Aegis Logistics and Suzlon Energy were among the weak stocks. Persistent System, Aster DM, and Kens Technology’s shares were included.

In the initial functioning of the stock market, there was a rise in the shares of all the 10 listed companies of Gautam Adani Group. Adani Total Gas and Adani Power were trading at a gain of more than 4 per cent, while shares of Ambuja Cement and ACC Limited were also up by about one per cent.

When the stock market started to trade, shares of companies like Globus Spirit, Urja Global, Om Infra, Kamdhenu Limited, Patel Engineering, Engineers India, Uni Parts, and UPL Limited were rising, while shares of Brand Concept were selling slowly.

Early on Monday, the shares of metal companies rose significantly. JSW Steel and Hindalco’s shares were trading with 2% gains. BSE Sensex started working at a strength of 500 points when it started. In early trading, shares of Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever and IndusInd Bank were showing weakness.
